Bonjour! Tout d'abord pour commencer, I'd like to wish everyone a "Happy National Day". It was a long weekend. Alors quoi de prevu? I was at the Mandarin Oriental with my mom and dad for tea. It was an English Afternoon Tea, to be precise.

A quiet afternoon serenaded by pianist and accompanied by pots of hot tea and coffee. A wide selection of mouth-watering pastries that came in a three-tier. Delightful macaroons and scones with clotted cream, strawberry and vanilla-orange preserve. It's a sweet life!

Traditional English Afternoon Tea has always been an elegant affair. Dressing the part is crucial. I was standing in front of my wardrobe thinking, "Floral dress or tweed suit?". Then, I spotted my favourite ruffled skirt.

P/S: I look kinda odd and blown out of proportion in these pictures, except for my hair. I'd like to extend a special gratitude towards my all-time favourite hair stylist Jimmy Cheng (salon director whose works have been featured in various publications and TV shows) for his attentiveness. He's such a sweetheart and a real charmer. I'm smitten! Blush! Blush! I'm declaring my undying love for him on a blog post? He must be flattered!
